EY Chief Economist, UK&I
As EY’s Chief Economist in the UK & Ireland, I work on our Economics for Business Programme providing knowledge, analysis and insight to help businesses understand the economic environments in which they operate. We work with both the private and public sectors, facilitating the debate between business and government, supporting economic development, growth and regeneration.
I am the sponsoring partner for EY’s Economics for Business Programme and EY ITEM Club, the UK’s leading independent economic forecast. I am a key contributor to EY’s economic offering across the globe. In 2016 LinkedIn ranked me number six of their Top UK Voices recognising those individuals whose words have launched countless high-quality conversations locally (and globally) on the platform that year.
My key areas of focus are the macro-economic environment for business, global trade and exports, the rise of the emerging markets, economics and capital markets, inward investment, transactions, entrepreneurship and youth unemployment. By creating a better understanding of the economic challenges we face we can mobilise the resources to drive change and help in building a better working world.
I also contribute regularly to the EY Capital Agenda blog.
